Office 即 Microsoft Office 。 Microsoft Office是微软公司开发的一套基于 Windows 操作系统的办公软件套装。常用组件有 Word、Excel、Powerpoint等。

不可否认，Android是全球最流行的手机操作系统，单月用户超过10亿。因此，就连微软也不能忽视Android。微软今天宣布推出Android版Office，以取代之前为Android平板电脑推出的Office Hub预览版。Android版Office同样为Android智能手机屏幕进行了优化。将微软最新的Office产品带入Android平台是微软公司的战略举措。

虽然微软希望消费者够买更多的Windows智能手机，但是市场现实表明，微软这种愿望不会在近期内实现，因此打造一个能吸引Android用户的生态系统可能是上策。

Office业务目前是该公司最大的收入来源之一，这意味着在Android设备上推出Office是必须的，尽管Android版Office免费提供给Android用户，但是部分高级功能和Office 365还是需要消费者付费才能获得。

目前，谷歌Play商店已经提供Android版Office下载，需要用户有运行Android 4.4及以上版本的智能手机。
